The CAPiTA Birds of a Feather Snowboard is a long standing rider's favorite, featuring a well balanced flex and multipurpose hybrid camber profile perfect for the intermediate to pro rider who doesn't want to stay in one place on the mountain. From the carbon fiber reinforcement for pop and response, to the extremely versatile shape and premiere eco-friendly Mothership construction, the Birds of a Feather's masterful design will not disappoint - pick one up before they all fly away!

Rocker Type

All-Terrain V2 Profile – The All-Terrain V2 Profile boards take full advantage of the benefits of traditional camber, zero camber, and reverse camber. This next generation design allows you to get the pop and response of a cambered board with all the predictability and easy turn initiation of zero camber or reverse camber shapes.

Flex

4 – 1 Soft - 10 Stiff

Shape

Blended Radial Sidecut – Sidecut that features a single radius arc through the midsection of the board combined with a custom designed blend zone at the contact points. Varying the length of these blend zones and tailoring them specifically for certain aspects of riding greatly improves a board's performance.

Core

FSC® Certified Dual Core – Poppy lightweight Poplar core combined with Beech for increased power and durability.

Laminates

Carbon Fiber Beams – Increases power and response while remaining ultralight.

Special Blend Fiberglass + Magic Bean™ Resin – Custom weighted Biaxial top / Biaxial bottom = increased strength and durability. Impregnated with reformulated, high-performance plant based Magic Bean™ Resin.

Sidewalls

Fortress™ Kevlar Bound Sidewalls – Heavy duty protection with refined flyweight Kevlar®.

Full ABS1000 Sidewalls

Base

Superdrive™ Base – Targeted toward versatility in a high-end sintered base, this running material strikes a unique and sought after balance between high performance and low maintenance. With an increased density polyethylene, these ultra high molecular weight sintered bases are more wax absorbent and allow longer time periods between waxing sessions. Properly maintained sintered bases are fast, durable, and are the preferred choice of pro snowboarders worldwide.

Multitech™ Sublimation + Die-Cut Base – Sublimation is an exact science for an inexact process. In sublimation, ink is pushed through a substrate into base material using pressure and heat.

Titanal Base Inlay – Titanal is a high strength hardened aluminum wrought alloy with excellent compression strength to weight ratios. A perfect top core structural reinforcement, these 20mm Titanal struts resist longitudinal compression.

Edges

360 Degree HRC48 Steel Edges

Topsheet

Multitech™ Level 5 DeepSpace™ Silkscreen + PAM16000™ Topsheet with Metallic Underlay – Strategically layering ink on multiple levels from the top and the bottom, CAPiTA imbues their graphics with a sense of life through depth.

Additional Features

Made at the Mothership (100% Hydro Powered Facility) – The NH3 natural gas heating system has an ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 0, with a COP (coefficient of performance) of 5. This means that for every 1 unit of energy consumed by the system, 5 units of energy for heating and cooling is achieved. It's like making the effort to spin a 360, but landing a silky smooth 1800 instead. The Mothership is also designed to maximize the use of natural light during the day by having ample skylights and strategically placed interior cutaways throughout the entire facility -- while energy efficient LED lighting acts as supplementary illumination where necessary.
